By using Lankio Media Tools ("the Service"), operated by Lankio, you agree to these terms.

The Service

The Service provides free tools for inspecting and cleaning media metadata and C2PA Content Credentials. It is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

No guarantee of results

Metadata parsing and removal depend on the specific file format, the software that created it, and the current behavior of third-party open-source libraries this Service relies on. We do not guarantee that any tool will detect, remove, or accurately report every piece of metadata in every file. We specifically do not claim that removing metadata guarantees a third-party platform cannot independently identify AI-generated or AI-edited content — see our explanation of this limitation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload files you do not have the legal right to process
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Circumvent access controls, DRM, or copyright protections on third-party content — this Service is not designed or intended for that purpose

File size and rate limits

Server-assisted tools (video processing) enforce file size limits, processing timeouts, and per-IP rate limits to keep the Service available for everyone. We may adjust these limits at any time.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to files you process through the Service. We claim no ownership over your content. The Service itself, including its design and original text content, is owned by Lankio.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lankio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including reliance on any tool's output.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
